Head Office Vacancies

Katoomba Christian Convention (KCC) gathers people – from all denominations, life stages and geographies – to see them transformed by Jesus, through the powerful preaching of God’s Word. Our events become spaces for families, highschoolers, young adults, men and women to be nurtured and challenged in their faith; returning to their everyday lives with a renewed energy and fire to live it out.

StayKCC Vacancies

StayKCC is our conference and accommodation centre in Katoomba, in the beautiful Blue Mountains, NSW. Each year we host thousands at our conventions and welcome schools, churches, corporates and community groups to our beautiful 28-acre site in the Blue Mountains. With accommodation for over 500 guests, we’re passionate about hospitality and creating memorable experiences.

Event Support Officer (Full-Time)

We are seeking an Event Support Officer with a positive, can-do, customer-focused attitude to join our team on site in Katoomba.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support for Events
    Assist with the planning and coordination of all large internal and external events, including pre-event logistics, documentation and communications.
  • Duty Manager and On-Call Coverage
    With a deep understanding of the event details from early planning stages, the successful applicant will be well-positioned to hold the Duty Manager role during major events. This will require an individual with the appropriate aptitude, reliability, and decision-making ability to manage Duty Manager and On-Call responsibilities effectively.
  • Event Set-Up Support & Casual Staff Supervision
    Assist with physical event set-ups, including leading and coordinating casual staff for large event set-ups
  • AV & IT Support
    Provide AV and IT support to both the groups and the wider team.
  • General Office Support
    Provide administrative, sales and campground management support to the broader office team during periods of high demand or when covering staff leave.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience and/or qualification in Event Management
  • Current NSW drivers license
  • Capacity to be part of a Christ-centered organisational culture 
  • High level organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent skills in customer service, sales and administration
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office package
  • Experience and/or aptitude with general IT and audio visual equipment toubleshooting
  • People person, quick to develop rapport, with leadership skills
  • Physically able to lift up to 20kg, stand for long periods and work outdoors
  • Adept at effectively communicating with guests, staff and contractors
  • Excellent initiative and problem solving skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities to meet guest needs
  • Strong multi-tasking, organisational and time management planning skills
  • Team player, and able to work independently
  • Good work ethic with integrity and a “can do” positive attitude
  • Maturity to handle a variety of issues that may arise
  • High standard of written and spoken English
  • Experience in carrying out best practice Work Health and Safety standards and emergency procedures, or willingness to learn
  • Being familiar with and involved in KCC events is desirable

Activities Support Officer (Part-Time, min 20 hours/week)

We are seeking an Activities Support Officer with a positive, can-do, customer-focused attitude to join our team on site in Katoomba.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support
    Provide detailed administrative oversight to ensure compliance across all activities and programs.
  • Programming Assistance
    Support the Activities Coordinator and Guest Liaison Team in the planning, coordination and delivery of activity programming.
  • Program Delivery
    Serve as an additional resource for running and facilitating on-site programs as required.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience and/or qualification in an Outdoor Leadership/Guiding oriented area
  • Experience and/or understanding and aptitude in assisting with the continuous development of best practice activities compliance, including risk assessments, standard operating procedures and policy documents
  • Current NSW drivers license
  • Capacity to be part of a Christ-centered organisational culture 
  • High level organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent skills in customer service, sales and administration
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office package
  • People person, quick to develop rapport, with leadership skills
  • Physically capable – able to lift up to 20kg, stand for long periods and work outdoors
  • Adept at effectively communicating with guests, staff and contractors
  • Excellent initiative and problem solving skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities to meet guest needs
