StayKCC Vacancies
StayKCC is our conference and accommodation centre in Katoomba, in the beautiful Blue Mountains, NSW. Each year we host thousands at our conventions and welcome schools, churches, corporates and community groups to our beautiful 28-acre site in the Blue Mountains. With accommodation for over 500 guests, we’re passionate about hospitality and creating memorable experiences.
Business Development Manager (Part-Time, Katoomba NSW/Hybrid)
StayKCC is seeking an experienced, proactive Business Development Manager to drive new business for our Blue Mountains venue, supporting Christian events, group accommodation, education camps and team building segments.
This role suits a confident sales hunter who enjoys picking up the phone, opening doors and building lasting relationships. With a strong focus on the education and Christian sectors, you’ll identify prospective clients, understand their needs and turn opportunities into confirmed bookings.
About the Role
Working for StayKCC, you’ll lead proactive business development for the venue, building a qualified pipeline for our unique venue in the Blue Mountains.
Outbound prospecting and cold calling will be central to your role, supported by a thoughtful, relationship-first approach. You’ll also qualify and nurture warm leads, progressing opportunities through discovery calls, site visits, proposals and conversion in collaboration with the venue team.
This is a part-time position, currently three days per week, with flexibility across the week and one day on site at StayKCC required each week.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Identifying and approaching new prospects, particularly schools, churches, Christian organisations and group organisers.
- Driving outbound prospecting through cold calls, targeted emails and consistent follow-up.
- Building relationships with decision-makers and understanding their accommodation, camp and event requirements.
- Qualifying and nurturing warm leads through to discovery calls and site visits.
- Working with the venue team to develop proposals, follow up opportunities and secure bookings.
- Developing repeat business and referrals through ongoing account relationships.
- Maintaining accurate sales records and providing regular reporting on activity, pipeline health and conversion.
About You
- Proven experience in proactive business development, with a track record of generating and converting new business.
- Strong cold-calling experience and the confidence to initiate conversations with new prospects.
- A relationship-first sales approach suited to the education and Christian sectors.
- Experience selling venues, group accommodation, school camps, conferences or events.
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- An organised, persistent approach to prospecting, follow-up and pipeline management.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the venue team.
- Confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Availability to attend StayKCC one day each week and travel to client meetings as required.

Groundsperson Team Leader (Full-Time, Katoomba NSW)

StayKCC is seeking an experienced Groundsperson to join our Facilities & Venue Services team full-time and help make our beautiful 28-acre site POP!
Working alongside our Facilities & Venue Services Manager and Supervisor, you’ll take a leading-hand role in maintaining our bushland, lawns, gardens and open spaces to an exceptional standard.
This is a diverse, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll have genuine responsibility and ownership for the presentation and care of our grounds, helping create a beautiful, safe and welcoming environment for the thousands of people who visit StayKCC each year for Christian conferences, school camps, retreats and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, gardens, parks, open spaces and landscaped areas to a high standard.
- Carry out mowing, edging, pruning, planting and general grounds maintenance.
- Undertake weed control and bushcare activities across the property.
- Safely operate and maintain horticultural equipment, machinery and tools.
- Take a leading-hand role when other team members are assisting with grounds work.
- Help plan and prioritise grounds maintenance tasks and projects.
- Identify maintenance and presentation issues and take initiative to address them.
- Work safely and promote good workplace safety practices within the team.
- Contribute positively to the overall presentation, functionality and environmental care of the StayKCC property.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Has 3–5 years’ practical, all-round grounds maintenance experience.
- Takes genuine pride in maintaining gardens, lawns and outdoor spaces to a high standard.
- Has experience as a leading hand or enjoys taking responsibility for guiding and supporting others.
- Is physically fit and capable of undertaking regular manual work.
- Is a practical problem solver with excellent initiative and attention to detail.
- Is friendly, approachable and confident communicating with guests, contractors and staff.
- Is honest, dependable and takes ownership of their responsibilities.
- Can work independently while contributing positively to a team.
- Is flexible and adaptable in a busy environment where priorities can change.
- Is committed to workplace safety and environmentally responsible grounds management.
Essential Requirements
- Current NSW Driver Licence.
- Demonstrated 3–5 years’ experience in grounds maintenance.
- Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual work.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Valid Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one.
- Australian citizen or permanent resident with unrestricted working rights.
Desirable
- Qualification in horticulture, landscaping, bushcare or a related area.
- Experience as a leading hand, supervising staff or working with small teams.
- Experience working across larger properties, parks, accommodation facilities or similar environments.
- A committed Christian who can positively contribute to our Christ-centred culture and ministry.
