It’s Men’s Health Week in Australia (9-15 June 2025), a time to raise awareness about health challenges faced by men and encourage open, honest conversations.
We believe that men’s health isn’t just physical. It’s also emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual. To mark the week, we asked some of our BASECAMP Christian men some big questions.
From managing stress to supporting each other in tough times, these short videos bring together real answers from real blokes. We appreciate their honesty sharing about their faith, wellbeing, and what it means to live wisely with Jesus at the centre!

Men’s Health Week: What Staying Healthy Means
“If you asked me that question 10 years ago, I would have said: exercising right, playing the right sports, and eating the right foods, maintaining a healthy diet. (But it’s) your spiritual, physical and mental health. Getting right with God, looking after your body physically and the content that you consume…”
Men’s Health Week: Managing Stress & Recharging
“Praying to Jesus does a lot just to take my mindset off the anger and helps bring me to a calm state.”
Men’s Health Week: Go-To Bible Verses in Tough Times
You can forget that in difficult times (that we are children of God). You can think the difficulty is defining you or the sum of all your life but to be reminded of what God thinks of you as His child has been really helpful.
Men’s Health Week: What’s Missing in Church Conversations
“I don’t think I’ve really heard many, or if any, conversations in churches that I’ve been a part of about men’s mental health. So I think somehow, introducing the conversation — and maybe that responsibility is on me to start that conversation.”
Men’s Health Week: The Impact of Christian Brotherhood
“I just had a men’s group outing the other day… and what I was really encouraged about was how others deal with certain issues. And some of these guys I was sharing with are almost half my age and I was very encouraged by their maturity.”
Men’s Health Week: Real Support for Real Struggles
“…to be able to sit down with a man and realise what he is going through, not how you can add to his life, but what he’s experiencing. I think just being able to just be an ear to them, even if nothing at the end of that conversation gets achieved or done.”
