Across three weekends this April, high schoolers across NSW will gather for the KYCK youth conference. Guest speakers Seth Fellows, Josh Hayward, Dave Jensen, Nathan Lee, Ed Sowden and Jonnie Wintle will invite youth to “Meet Jesus” from the book of Mark. If you’re joining us this month, here are 10 ways to prepare your hearts and minds for KYCK:

1. Get pumped for worship with the KYCK 23 playlist

Whether you’re wanting a shout-out-loud worship session or some mellow praise for quiet study, this playlist is the perfect soundtrack to familiarise yourself with songs that we’ll be singing at KYCK 23! Listen here.

2. Plan your Saturday afternoon with our KYCK On Saturday Activities Guide

For KYCK On this year, we’ve compiled an Activities Guide with options of what you can do with your youth group around Katoomba and surrounding areas. The list includes ice skating, bushwalking, visiting Scenic World and The Amazing Scenic Race. Check out the list here and plan your Saturday afternoon! Check out the full list here.

3. Meditate on the book of Mark

Get the most out of KYCK with some pre-reading from the book of Mark! Read chapters 1-8 to prime your heart to hear and respond to God’s word.

4. Join our Prayer Gathering on Saturday evening

We’ll be holding a prayer gathering each Saturday from 5.30-6.15pm in the auditorium before our BBQ. We will pray for our world, churches, youth groups, schools’ ministry, the youth in our communities and more! Make sure to invite your youth group and join us in committing our city and world to God!

5. Rep KYCK 23 with fresh merch

Our range of KYCK 23 merch includes the much-loved hoodie and tee PLUS our brand-new beanie, bucket hat and cap styles! Merch is available from $25 a piece and can be purchased from 8am each Saturday. Check out the merch and pricing here.

6. Give back to KYCK as a volunteer

We’re still on the lookout for superstar volunteers to help out at our KYCK 3 weekend (28-30 April). If you’re keen to join the parking, slushie or coffee team, we’d love to hear from you here: https://www.kyck.org.au/volunteer/

7. Pray for God to work powerfully through KYCK

Please join us in committing KYCK to God in prayer:

  • Pray that as the gospel is preached at KYCK, the Spirit will work powerfully in the hearts of youth.
  • Pray that God will protect our speakers Seth, Josh, Dave, Nathan, Ed, and Jonnie ahead of KYCK, and that they will preach the gospel faithfully and clearly.
  • Pray that KYCK will be an opportunity for teens who don’t know Jesus to meet Him for the first time.
  • Pray that teenagers will leave KYCK with a firm trust in Jesus, and that they will be bold and loving gospel witnesses in their schools, communities and homes.

8. Stay up to date with KYCK on socials and the KCC One app

Stay up to date with the latest KYCK news, and interact with our live segments by following us on Facebook or Instagram. Download the KCC One App to gain daily encouragement from KCC’s library of sermons, topical talks, testimonies, and devotionals in audio, text and video formats.

9. RSVP for the Saturday Night BBQ

Support high school scripture and teachers by purchasing the Saturday night BBQ at KYCK. Held each Saturday, 6.15pm-7pm in the Plaza, it’s $5 per person and includes 2 sausage sandwiches & a soft drink! RSVP here: https://www.kyck.org.au/saturday-bbq/

10. Still haven’t registered? Join us online!
